Grab your magnifying glass and prepare for a night of murder, mystery, and mayhem; get set to laugh out loud as NCRT presents the final production for 2024, The Game’s Afoot, a Sherlock Holmes, festive holiday, comedic, murder-mystery romp written by Ken Ludwig.
 
Set in 1936, the play follows Broadway star William Gillette, world-renowned for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. Gillette invites his fellow cast members to his opulent mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration. However, the festive mood turns deadly when one of the guests is murdered! With a killer on the loose and everyone a suspect, Gillette channels his inner Holmes to crack the case — but with each clue, things only get zanier. Can our hero solve the mystery, or will the murderer make their grand escape?

Turkey Trot 5k

Start your Turkey Day with a Turkey Trot 5k through Old Town Eureka at 9 AM on November 28th. Put on by College of the Redwoods and Arcata High Cross Country Teams, the route or walk starts and finishes at the Gazebo in Old Town (between 2nd and F Street).

Santa’s coming to town on a Humboldt Bay Fire Truck! Join us at the Gazebo at 2 PM for Santa’s grand entrance, followed by festive fun with his merry elves. Enjoy face painting, kids’ crafts, balloon animals, and a chance to share your holiday wishes with Santa himself! Bring the whole family and your camera for a magical afternoon in Old Town!
