Salt & Fog Fish Festival

Hosted in partnership between the Eureka Visitor Center and the Eureka Lodging Alliance, the inaugural Eureka Salt & Fog Fish Fest will be taking place along Eureka’s picturesque waterfront with activities starting on April 26th and culminating on April 28th. This sea-to-table event is a nod to Eureka’s fishing heritage, as well as a modern preview showcasing the City’s best restaurants, and chefs with bites featuring their favorite underwater ingredients. The three day event will kick-off Friday night with a pub crawls around Downtown and Old Town. On Saturday, venture to Madaket Plaza at the foot of C Street for a chowder cook-off, tall ships, local beer, bay tours on the Madaket, food trucks, yacht races, carriage rides and an opportunity to engage with Humboldt’s artisans and makers in a market type atmosphere. On Sunday, run the Fish Out of Water 5k and enjoy a post race Bloody Mary at participating bars and restaurants.

Fish Out of Water Pub Crawl

Friday, April 26 (6:00 pm-9:00 pm)

Self-guided pub crawl through Downtown and Old Town with evening culminating with a showing of Jaws at the Eureka Theater. Attendees can pick up their pirate maps at participating locations or on the Visit Eureka Website

Eureka Salt and Fog Fish Fest

Saturday, April 27 (12:00 pm-5:00 pm)

Tall ships, chowder cook-off, music, local beer, bay tours on the Madaket, paddle boards, kayaks, crab feed, food trucks, speeder train rides, carriage rides, and a quaint opportunity to engage with Humboldt’s artisans and makers in a market type atmosphere

Fish Out of Water 5k

Sunday, April 28 (10:00 am-1:00 pm)

Fun run along the Humboldt Bay Trail and Eureka’s Waterfront starting at Madaket Plaza. Pre-registrants will be able to pick up their Queen City Salt and Fog shirts. Following the 5k, select bars and restaurants will be serving signature Bloody Marys.
