The Redwood Youth Ballet will be at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Saturday, December 14th at 6:00pm for a special presentation of classical ballet and contemporary choreography, with excerpts from The Nutcracker! Under the direction of Heather and Harmony Sorter, The Redwood Youth Ballet provides Russian Vaganova based ballet training for all levels, focusing on quality dance education in a professional environment.
The audience will be entertained with classical ballet, along with original choreography by Heather Sorter. Heather has been training local dancers here in Humboldt County for over twenty years. She has created many ballets and original works in contemporary and neo-classical styles. Some of the ballets Heather has staged are Copellia, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Peter and the Wolf, Carnival of the Animals and Paquita.
Heather offers private instruction in classical ballet for students that are serious about their training. Along with private instruction, Heather offers dance classes for ages 2 and up. The group will present a spring performance of The Awakening of Flora in June 2020. Please contact email@example.com for more information.

The Morris Graves Museum of Art, located at 636 F Street, Eureka is open to the public noon-5p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over), military veterans, and students with ID; children 17 and under free; Families with an EBT Card and valid ID receive free admission through the Museums for All initiative, Museum members are free. Admission is always free for everyone on the first Saturday of every month, including First Saturday Night Arts Alive!, 6-9 p.m. and Mini Masters at the MGMA.
