Children and families are invited to Family Arts Day at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Saturday, March 11th at 2:00pm for an afternoon of abstract art-making inspired by the new exhibition “Dust Stories: Tales From The Land” by Raphaëlle Goethals.
Families will create works of art inspired by the abstract artworks in this inspiring exhibition. We’ll talk about what abstract art is and share ideas for making an amazing work of abstract art. Then explore the possibilities of paint as we use different brushes, rollers, and objects to create your own abstract paintings that you can take home and put on the fridge!
Admission to Family Arts Day is free for museum members, children under 17, any family with an EBT card, or anyone bringing a non-perishable food item for the museum’s Food For People donation bin. Regular admission is $5 for adults, and $2 for students, seniors, and military members.
Bring your family to the Morris Graves Museum of Art for an afternoon of art-making and exploring your local art museum! Join the fun on Saturday, March 11th at 2:00pm at 636 F Street in Eureka.
