Come tap your toes to the lively music of Good Company at Arts Alive! at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Saturday, March 4th from 6:00-9:00pm.
Good Company is Humboldt County’s premier traditional trio specializing in Celtic and British acoustic folk, with forays into Old Time, French and Scandinavian music. Good Company has been bringing together the fine musicianship of Sam McNeill (violin, guitar, cittern, nyckelharpa, accordion), Bob Stockwell (mandolin, violin, guitar) and Janet Finney- Krull (flutes & whistles, small percussion) for 22 years.
Make sure to visit each of the galleries while you’re in the museum Saturday night, since each show currently on view will be closing during the month of March! Ellen Litwiller’s exhibition “Natura Morta, Natura Viva” will close the next day, on March 5th, so Arts Alive is your last chance to view this fascinating collection of paintings. Also closing in March will be the museum’s exclusive show “From the Collection: New Acquisitions” and community show “Humboldt Collects!”.
Visitors to Arts Alive! can also meet artist Sara Starr, who is featured artist in the Humboldt Artist Gallery for the month of March. Her gorgeous ceramic tiles and watercolor paintings will be highlighted for sale all month!
