On Saturday, September 2nd at 12:00pm, visit the Morris Graves Museum of Art for our new youth program, Mini Masters and get a free copy of Clark the Shark by Bruce Hale, one of this month’s featured books!
Clark the Shark gets stage fright when it's his turn to present his book report. Can he learn to be bold, be smart, and speak from the heart? Start out the school year finding out how Clark overcomes his classroom obstacles! This book is featured as part of the Author & Illustrator Festival. Original Illustrations from this text and many others will be on view in the Youth Gallery!!
Carrying on the mission of the long running program, PBS NC Kids Club, this monthly workshop includes story time, tours of current exhibitions and art activities! This program is designed for families of children ages 2-8, but all ages are welcome.
The Morris Graves Museum of Art, located at 636 F Street, Eureka is open to the public noon-5p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over) and students with ID; children 17 and under free; Museum members are free. Admission is always free for everyone on the first Saturday of every month, including First Saturday Night Arts Alive! 6-9 p.m. and the Mini Masters reading program, noon-2pm.
