BRENDA TUXFORD GALLERY at Ink People 525 Seventh St. “Emulations”, artists influenced by the mass creation of the 20th Century. Artists will directly emulate a particular artist of the previous hundred years.
HUMBOLDT ARTS COUNCIL at the Morris Graves Museum of Art 636 F St. Performance Rotunda: Music by Good Company, Sam McNeill, violin, guitar, cittern, chromatic accordion, and Nyckleharpa, Bob Stockwell, (violin, mandolin, and guitar), and Janet Finnery Krull (flutes & whistles, accordion, and small percussion), reels, Irish airs, and ballads.  William Thonson Gallery: “Blunder-Bus”, Ian Carey, painting and drawing strategies of my artist’s reflections on an often confusing and absurd world. Anderson Gallery: “Divine Providence”, Lee Running, Meredith Lynn and Nicole Jean Hill, features selected photographs, works on paper, and sculptures by the three artists that each explore what it means to own and exploit a landscape. Knight Gallery: “The Odyssey of These Days”, Wesley Hurd, paintings that present an abstract visual narrative evoking the intensity of human suffering and our journey beyond it, into hope. Melvin Schuler Sculpture Garden Dan McCauley, sculptures using materials from scrap yards. Homer Balabanis Gallery/Humboldt Artist Gallery: Unique, original gifts. ROMANO GABRIEL SCULPTURE SQUARE “Voices of the Forest” a collaborative theatre piece illuminating the detrimental effects that pesticides, rodenticides, and other toxicants are having on the flora and fauna inhabiting our public lands. This community based arts project is presented jointly by Dell’Arte International’s second year MFA ensemble and the Integral Ecology Research Center.
