HSU Dance at MGMA
The Humboldt State University Dance Program will perform at the
MGMA for an Afternoon of Dance.

Admission price: $5 adults, $2 students/seniors/military, FREE for museum members, kids under 18, and families with an EBT card.
The Humboldt State University Dance Program will enliven the Morris Graves Museum of Art with a program of Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, and Mexican Folklorico dances on Sunday, November 10th at 2:00pm!
Students (18-22) from Humboldt State University’s Dance Program will perform a wide variety of dances in various styles, with choreography and music ranging from serious to uplifting. The program will include a brief lecture on the history of these dance styles.
The dance program at the University began in the 1970’s as a dance minor program, and developed into a BA Major in dance program 20 years ago. The Dance Studies program at HSU is designed to encourage students in their artistic, creative and technical endeavors, and to prepare students for careers or advanced graduate studies. Housed within the Department of Theatre, Film, and Dance, the program incorporates interdisciplinary perspectives and provides multiple opportunities for artistic collaboration.
Upcoming dance concerts at Humboldt State University include the Choreography Showcase, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13th and 14th, 7:30pm, JVD Theater. The Choreography Showcase will include student choreographed dances!

The Morris Graves Museum of Art, located at 636 F Street, Eureka is open to the public noon-5p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over), military veterans, and students with ID; children 17 and under free; Families with an EBT Card and valid ID receive free admission through the Museums for All initiative, Museum members are free. Admission is always free for everyone on the first Saturday of every month, including First Saturday Night Arts Alive!, 6-9 p.m. and Mini Masters at the MGMA.
