Family Arts Day at MGMA

the Junque Arte Exhibition @ Family Arts Day!

Children and families are invited to Family Arts Day at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Saturday, September 9th at 2:00pm for an afternoon of food art and found object sculpture inspired by the 23rd Annual Junque Arte Exhibition! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of art-making, learning and exploring your local art museum! Families will have the opportunity to view the Junque Arte Exhibition and then create their own eco-conscious art! Museum educators will work with you and your child to identify shapes, forms and techniques needed to create your own beautiful pieces.
Admission to Family Arts Day is free for museum members, children under 17, any family with an EBT card, or anyone bringing a non-perishable food item for the museum’s Food For People donation bin. Regular admission is $5 for adults, and $2 for students, seniors, and military members.
The Morris Graves Museum of Art, located at 636 F Street, Eureka is open to the public noon-5p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over) and students with ID; children 17 and under free; Museum members are free. Admission is always free for everyone on the first Saturday of every month, including First Saturday Night Arts Alive!, 6-9 p.m. and the Mini Masters reading program, noon-2pm.
