During this month’s Art Talk, Willo and Ember Sernovitz will display a collection of their art and present a lively and inspired discussion on the unique relationship of mediums and style in American glass, how it has evolved and changed glass art on a global level, and what the future holds for glass art in Humboldt County and beyond.
Willo and Ember Sernovitz have been working with glass since 1994 and are master glassblowers in traditional furnace glassblowing as well as flameworked borosilicate glass. Their goal is to build a strong glass community in Humboldt County and a resource center for continuing glass art education and insight. SoulShine Arts is Humboldt County’s only public glassblowing school and studio.  This organization is the center of glassblowing in our area and Willo and Ember work tirelessly to create a wide range of opportunities for everyone in Humboldt.  SoulShine Arts is completely inclusive and offers classes and opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to connect with the magic of glassblowing.
