Venue: Morris Graves Museum of Art
636 F Street, Eureka, CA 95501
Arts Alive! is happening again at the Morris Graves Museum of Art from 6:00-9:00pm on Saturday, September 2nd! Spend an evening with Aloha 808 as they play a delightful mixture of music from the Polynesian Triangle and songs that tell of the sweeping plains ridden by the Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys) to the beaches of Waikiki. From the island of New Zealand to the tropical islands of Tahiti with a mix of a little country, a few oldies and a touch of jazz, you may find yourself singing along, tapping your feet and maybe, just maybe, dancing a little Hula.
Make sure to visit each of the galleries while you’re in the museum Saturday night too! Catch two new exhibitions, Big Picture II, by Suk Choo Kim and the HAC Member Exhibition which will span two of our galleries!
And don’t forget to stop by the Humboldt Artist Gallery to visit with featured artist Patricia Sundgren Smith, whose work will be highlighted at the museum throughout the month of August.
The Morris Graves Museum of Art, located at 636 F Street, Eureka is open to the public noon-5p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for seniors (age 65 and over) and students with ID; children 17 and under free; Museum members are free.
